August 2008Zannel goes to the DNC and gets on CNN
If you’ve been following the Democratic National Convention, you may have noticed that 13 or so credentialed bloggers have been Zanneling from the convention floor. We’re excited about this ... not just because its great for Zannel and the Zannel community ... but also because it shows how far micro blogging - what we here at Zannel like to call nano media - has come in just a short while.
For perspective, Howard Dean’s campaign was widely seen as a game changer: his was the first to use the web and social networks as a major campaign tool. Senator’s Obama’s campaign has taken web tools and social networking to a whole new level. So it was no surprise to us to see media outlets like CNN latch onto the fact that the new game changer is both social, mobile, and nano in size. You can see and experience highlights of the convention - and really feel like you are there - just by following the Politics Blue channel at http://zannel.com/PoliticsBlue ... this is nano content also called micro blogging at its best - painting a full experience in as little as 140 characters plus a picture and/or video.
CNN loves it. I hope you do too!
